Big plans can’t be accomplished alone. The Hub’s vision has been inspired and informed by scores of individuals and initiatives around the United States and around the world.
In some cases, they’ve been working toward their own visions and openly shared their successes, challenges and advice with the world. In many other cases, they’ve individually shared their time and energy to brainstorm, provide feedback, and help nail down plans as The Hub’s vision was taking shape over the course of a year. They’ve also shared connections, templates, links, tools, and other valuable resources that saved time and avoided the reinvention of wheels.
Considerable time, energy, thought, and resources will be needed for The Hub to achieve its ultimate vision of being a thriving community focused on learning and growth. That means there will be many ways to get involved. Here's one example that's accessible to anyone. We are building a database of individuals willing to share their interests and knowledge with children enrolled in The Hub's micro-academy, by answering occasional questions in their areas of expertise. (The children will be encouraged to pay this generosity forward, by finding opportunities to leverage their own strengths to be of service to others, thus creating a virtuous cycle.)
There will be other ways to get involved too. If you resonate with what’s being done here and what’s on deck for the future, and want to be part of making it happen, in one way or another, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, let us know what you feel called to contribute to the effort (perhaps taking inspiration from these "8 Forms of Capital"), and we’ll take it from there.
